On the Codimension Growth of G-graded Algebras

Let W be an associative PI affine algebra over a field F of characteristic zero. Suppose W is G-graded where G is a finite group. Let exp(W ) and exp(We) denote the codimension growth of W and of the identity component We, respectively. We prove: exp(W ) ≤ |G| exp(We). This inequality had been conjectured by Bahturin and Zaicev.

Graded Differential Geometry of Graded Matrix Algebras

We study the graded derivation-based noncommutative differential geometry of the Z2-graded algebra M(n|m) of complex (n+m)× (n+m)-matrices with the “usual block matrix grading” (for n 6= m). Beside the (infinite-dimensional) algebra of graded forms the graded Cartan calculus, graded symplectic structure, graded vector bundles, graded connections and curvature are introduced and investigated. In...

APPROXIMATE IDENTITY IN CLOSED CODIMENSION ONE IDEALS OF SEMIGROUP ALGEBRAS

Let S be a locally compact topological foundation semigroup with identity and Ma(S) be its semigroup algebra. In this paper, we give necessary and sufficient conditions to have abounded approximate identity in closed codimension one ideals of the semigroup algebra $M_a(S)$ of a locally compact topological foundationsemigroup with identity.

Twisted Graded Hecke Algebras

We generalize graded Hecke algebras to include a twisting twococycle for the associated finite group. We give examples where the parameter spaces of the resulting twisted graded Hecke algebras are larger than that of the graded Hecke algebras. We prove that twisted graded Hecke algebras are particular types of deformations of a crossed product.

Graded Commutative Algebras : Examples

We consider Γ-graded commutative algebras, where Γ is an abelian group. Starting from a remarkable example of the classical algebra of quaternions and, more generally, an arbitrary Clifford algebra, we develop a general viewpoint on the subject. We then give a recent classification result and formulate an open problem.
